This song is NOT Swedish... it is sung in a Swedish (finnish) dialect, but Gjallarhorn who made it is a Swedish speaking Finnish group. Sweden has SO many great folksongs, so why pick something that is modern and not even Swedish?! As a music teacher and musician it makes me sad.
I love the song but I beg to differ on that it is a 'folksong'. "Im Hashem Lo Yivneh Bayis" was composed by Shlomo Yehuda Rechnitz at the bar mitzvah of the son of Shraga Gold in Williamsburg. In other words: its a modern song made in the style of traditional Jewish music. A folksong is a song originating among the people of a country or area, passed by oral tradition from one singer or generation to the next, often existing in several versions. Something this song is not... However it is an awesome song!
